Description:
Boeing is seeking a highly skilled experienced senior operational safety leader to join our Global Safety & Regulatory Affairs team in Delhi, India. This position plays a critical role in strengthening Boeing's operational safety engagement with Indian and other South Asian airlines, aviation regulators, air navigation service providers, and broader industry partners working out of Delhi, India.
The Operational Safety Deputy Director will support the Boeing Safety, Security, and Airworthiness (SS&A) organization serving as a trusted technical and strategic advisor working on numerous initiatives aimed at advancing Boeing's safety leadership in India & South Asia through proactive risk identification, operational analysis, safety promotion, and collaborative stakeholder engagement. The selected candidate for this role will spend most of their time directly interacting with airline safety departments.
The role requires deep operational expertise, healthy relationships with regulators and airline safety departments and strong analytical skills. The individual selected for this role will have the ability to lead cross-functional safety initiatives across a complex regional environment. The Operational Safety Deputy Director will also engage and coordinate with multiple internal teams within Boeing that contribute to aviation safety.
The selected candidate will maintain trusted, high-impact relationships with senior regulatory officials in the region (e.g., DGCA India, CAA Bangladesh, CAA Sri Lanka, CAA Nepal, etc), positioning Boeing as a credible safety partner, influencing stakeholders in ways that strengthen operational safety across the aviation industry in the region.

Typical Education Level 5:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in an aviation related field, engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 16 to 20 years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+12 years related work experience, Master+15 years related work experience). In the USA, ABET
accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
