Join our innovative team as a Lead Database Administrator (DBA) and contribute

security of our database infrastructure.

What you will do:
- Collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to identify database system requirements and performance objectives.
- Schedule and coordinate database maintenance activities, including backups, upgrades, and patch deployments.
- Oversee and direct the implementation of database solutions, ensuring alignment with business goals and industry best practices.
- Design and implement database schemas, indexes, and query optimization strategies to maximize performance and scalability.
- Plan and execute database security measures, including access controls, encryption, and auditing, to protect sensitive financial data.
- Create and maintain documentation for database configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guidelines.
- Conduct regular performance tuning and capacity planning exercises to optimize database resource utilization and ensure scalability.
- Monitor and evaluate database system performance and health, proactively identifying and addressing issues to minimize downtime and ensure reliability.
- Prepare training materials and conduct training sessions for junior DBAs and other team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Mentor and guide junior DBAs, providing technical expertise and leadership to support their professional development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL database administration, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with database performance tuning, query optimization, and indexing techniques.
- Familiarity with database security best practices and regulatory compliance requirements, such as PCI-DSS and GDPR.
- Certification in PostgreSQL administration or related technologies is a plus.
- Previous experience in the fintech industry or related fields is highly preferred.
