Flytxt is Looking for:
As Lead Data Scientist, you will define and drive the data science strategy, lead model development, and
ensure impactful analytics across the organization. You'll collaborate cross-functionally to deliver scalable AI
solutions that enhance customer engagement, reduce churn, and drive revenue growth. You will also play a
pivotal role in advancing Flytxt's agentic AI capabilities through products like Niya-X.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Own the data science roadmap and model lifecycle.
- Define modeling frameworks and data governance standards.
- Mentor and grow a high-performing data science team.
Advanced Analytics & AI
- Develop predictive and generative models for segmentation, loyalty, and customer 360° views.
- Leverage big data platforms (Hadoop, Spark) and ML libraries (SparkML, OpenNLP).
- Translate PoCs into scalable, productized AI features integrated into platforms like Niya-X.
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Partner with IT, product, and business teams to align analytics with strategic goals.
- Ensure data quality, governance, and adoption across departments.
- Act as a thought leader in generative and agentic AI innovation.
Qualifications
- Master's degree (PhD preferred) in a quantitative field (Math/Stats, ML, CS, Economics).
- 10+ years of combined experience in data science, analytics, and AI.
Technical Skills
- Proficient in Python, R, SparkML, SAS, KNIME, or other analytics tools
- Strong SQL and data manipulation skills for very large data sets
- Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases
- Background in software development (Python, Java, C++) is a plus
Domain Expertise
- Telecom, BFSI, Retail, Logistics, or other B2C industries.
- Experience in various stages of software product lifecycle
Behavioral Competencies
- Strong analytical thinking, decision-making, and logical reasoning.
- Ability to lead, influence, and collaborate across multicultural teams.
