Job Description

Design and implement robust, scalable, and secure database architectures using SQL Server and Oracle.
Lead database modernization and migration projects, including on-prem to cloud (Azure, AWS, Oracle Cloud).
Oversee database performance tuning, capacity planning, and high-availability solutions.
Establish and enforce database standards, security policies, backup and recovery procedures.
Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to ensure database systems support business goals.
Provide guidance on best practices in SQL/PLSQL/T-SQL development, indexing, partitioning, and data modeling.
Conduct database health checks, audits, and troubleshoot critical issues across SQL Server and Oracle platforms.
Evaluate and recommend new database technologies and tools aligned with business objectives.
Mentor junior DBAs and developers in database best practices.
Ensure compliance with licensing, auditing, and industry regulations (GDPR, HIPAA, etc.).

10+ years of experience as a DBA with strong hands-on experience in MS SQL Server (2016/2019/2022) and Oracle (12c/19c/21c).
Solid experience in database architecture, clustering (AlwaysOn, RAC), replication, and disaster recovery planning.
Proficient in T-SQL, PL/SQL, and scripting for automation (PowerShell, Bash, etc.).
Experience with cloud-based databases (Azure SQL, Amazon RDS, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure).
Strong understanding of data security, encryption, auditing, and compliance standards.
Proven ability to manage large-scale, mission-critical database systems.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and documentation abilities.

Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate / MCSE: Data Management and Analytics.
Oracle Certified Professional (OCP).
Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
Experience with tools like Redgate, OEM, SQL Sentry, or Quest Spotlight.
