Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Lead Data Engineer to drive technical execution and provide hands-on leadership to Senior Engineers and QA Engineers. This role plays a critical part in ensuring engineering excellence while delivering scalable, secure, and high-performance data pipelines for enterprise-grade data platforms. The Lead Data Engineer will work closely with the Principal Engineer, Product Owners, and Technical Program Managers to translate architectural vision into reliable engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Role Overview:

The Lead Data Engineer drives technical execution and provides leadership to Senior Engineers and QA Engineers. This role ensures engineering excellence, performs design/code reviews, and supports the Principal Engineer in delivering scalable, secure, and reliable data pipelines for enterprise-level data platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead development of Spark-based data pipelines and transformation workflows

Mentor Senior Engineers and enforce engineering standards and patterns

Conduct design and code reviews for performance, quality, and maintainability

Collaborate with TPM and Product Owners to plan sprints and manage delivery milestones

Troubleshoot complex data engineering issues and drive RCA

Translate architectural direction into actionable engineering tasks

Required Skills:

512 years of Data Engineering experience

Strong Spark (Scala/Python/Java) and Hadoop/Object Storage expertise

Advanced SQL across Oracle, Netezza, Hive, or similar platforms

Proven ability to mentor and lead engineering teams in Agile environments

Strong analytical and communication skills
