We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Control-M SME to take charge of managing, optimizing, and scaling our enterprise job scheduling and batch operations. This individual will serve as the subject matter expert for all Control-M-related activities and play a key role in driving automation, operational efficiency, and best practices across our IT environments.
Responsibilities
- Oversee installation, configuration, and upgrades of Control-M Enterprise Manager, Agents, and related components across Windows and Linux environments
- Manage job scheduling, batch processing, and advanced automation workflows to support business-critical operations
- Maintain and optimize Control-M databases, job templates, and parameter configurations to meet performance and operational goals
- Monitor daily operations, promptly troubleshoot job failures, and ensure the timely resolution of incidents
- Establish and execute disaster recovery plans for Control-M environments to ensure system resilience
- Develop and enforce best practices for job scheduling, change management, and compliance with internal operational agreements
- Lead Control-M migration projects, including documentation and management of database objects and environment changes
- Maintain comprehensive logs and documentation, such as PROCLOG, sysout, dailylog, and other operational reports
- Act as the SME for Control-M, providing mentorship, guidance, and support to IT teams and business stakeholders
- Liaise with vendors and internal teams for product support, issue resolution, and system enhancements
- Regularly update technical documentation, including end-user guides, system configuration manuals, and parameter guides
- Deliver training sessions and knowledge transfers to empower Control-M users and support staff
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 7+ years of experience in IT operations with at least 4 years as a Control-M administrator or SME
- Expertise in Control-M Enterprise Manager, Agents, and job scheduling concepts
- Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux server environments
- Proven background in disaster recovery planning and execution
- Proficiency in batch file remediation, database job templates, and understanding of compliance and operational frameworks
- Excellent skills in troubleshooting, documentation, and stakeholder communication skills
- English language proficiency at an Upper-Intermediate level (B2) or higher
