JOB TITLE: SAP BASIS Lead Consultant
Experience Required : 8+ years
Location Hyderabad/ Pune/ Hybrid
Shift timings: EST (5PM 2.30 AM IST)
Job Summary
We are looking for a proactive Lead SAP Basis Consultant with 8+ years of experience to support our SAP environments in an AMS (Application Management Support) capacity. This role involves day-to-day Basis operations, system monitoring, troubleshooting, patching, performance tuning, and regular maintenance activities across multiple SAP landscapes. The ideal candidate should have strong mentoring capabilities, demonstrate deep technical expertise, and ensure continuous system availability and performance,working closely with the Technical, Functional & Business teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily SAP Basis operations across S/4HANA, ECC, PI/PO, GRC, Solution Manager, Fiori, Web Dispatchers, cloud connectors and other components.
- Hands on experience in SAP cloud solutions like SAC, BTP, IAS/IPS, IBP, C4C, C4E etc.
- Strong understanding and hands on experience in HA-DR environment on Azure hyperscaler.
- Monitor system health, performance, and logs; proactively identify and resolve issues to ensure high availability.
- Execute regular system maintenance activities such as:
- Kernel upgrades
- Support Package upgrades and OSS Note implementations
- System refreshes and client copies
- Transport management and troubleshooting
- Implement and manage job scheduling and monitoring using SAP Solution Manager or external tools.
- Oversee database administration tasks in SAP HANA and MS SQL servers.
- Conduct monthly system health checks, capacity planning, and performance tuning.
- Own incident, problem, and change management processes in coordination with ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow).
- Collaborate with SAP and infrastructure teams to ensure uptime, backup/recovery, and disaster recovery readiness.
- Mentor and guide junior Basis consultants; review their work and support skill development.
- Document operational procedures, maintenance runbooks, and system configurations.
- Participate in audits and compliance-related activities, ensuring security and patching best practices.
- Coordinate and execute system downtime activities (planned/unplanned), including communication with business stakeholders.
- Ensure effective monitoring and alerting systems are in place and regularly fine-tuned.
- Support regular security audits and work closely with SAP Security teams for user, role, and authorization-related issues.
- Liaise with SAP Support for OSS incidents and system optimization.
- Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring or critical issues and implement corrective actions.

- SAP Certified Technology Associate OS/DB Migration for SAP NetWeaver
