Function Overview

  • The Supply Chain Team manages end-to-end operations: planning, sourcing, manufacturing, logistics, and analytics.
  • Uses advanced analytics to optimize operations and adapt to market dynamics.

Purpose of the Role

  • Support a US-based Project Manager by leading and providing technical expertise on capital projects.
  • Collaborate with operations, maintenance, engineering, and external partners to deliver efficient and sustainable manufacturing solutions.

Key Accountabilities

  • Support leadership on capital project installations, including scope definition, budget, resources, and schedule.
  • Provide capital project estimation for cost, schedule, and technical performance.
  • Support IRR and sensitivity analysis for business decision-making.
  • Assemble and manage long lead and capital definitive projects.
  • Lead resources for US-managed projects.
  • Assist in cash flow analysis.
  • Communicate with Engineering Business Managers and Initiative Leaders regarding capital implementation.
  • Ensure project delivery meets:
  • Technical/quality standards
  • Project Charter and manufacturing needs
  • Schedule and capital budgets
  • Start-up budget
  • Set project philosophies and refine based on team input.
  • Facilitate project decision-making throughout its life cycle.
  • Collaborate with Start-up Managers, Lead Engineers, and Systems Engineers for effective communication.
  • Manage engineering support for production start-up.
  • Ensure project close-out including financial reconciliation and punchlist integrity.
  • Participate in post-project reviews and compliance sign-offs.
  • Requires travel (5% overall, 010% during execution/start-up, including possible weekends/holidays).

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or relevant field, or equivalent experience.
  • 15+ years managing capital projects in manufacturing (preferably Food or FMCG).
  • Proven record in plant upgrades, new installations, or greenfield/brownfield projects.
  • Experience working with international teams or corporate environments.
  • Understanding of plant operations, equipment design, and impact on resources and processes.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety, environment, and human safety standards.
  • Expertise in project scope definition, estimation, EAC tracking, and scope management.
  • Strong performance on concurrent assignments and teamwork.
  • Technical leadership, analytical problem-solving, adaptability, and professional conduct.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP certification.
  • Experience in project planning, execution, and utility systems (HVAC, boilers, etc.).
  • Familiarity with EHS, GMP, food safety standards, and sanitation design.
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement and vertical start-up tools/processes.

Must-Have Skills

  • Mandatory hands-on capital project management experience in the Food or FMCG industry.
  • Experience handling high-value and complex projects.
