Role Overview

Thermaissance is building a strong clinical evidence and investigator network across India.

We are seeking a Clinical Research Lead who can both drive clinical studies and build strong relationships with hospitals and clinicians.

The role requires a professional who can:

  • Engage clinicians and hospital leadership
  • Identify research opportunities
  • Initiate investigator collaborations
  • Design and execute clinical studies
  • Generate high-quality clinical evidence

    Key Responsibilities

    Clinical Study Development

    • Design and coordinate clinical studies and pilot trials evaluating antimicrobial and thermoregulating textiles in:
    • Neonatal intensive care units (NICU / SNCU)
    • Adult ICUs
    • Operating Rooms
    • Dialysis centres
    • Infection control settings
    • Define study endpoints, protocols, and data collection frameworks
    • Support development of investigator-initiated studies

    Hospital & Investigator Engagement

    • Identify and approach leading hospitals, clinicians, and academic centers for clinical collaborations
    • Build strong relationships with:
    • Neonatologists
    • Intensivists
    • Nephrologists
    • Infection control specialists
    • Present clinical research concepts and convince hospitals to participate in studies
    • Coordinate with hospital ethics committees and research departments

    Study Execution & Monitoring

    • Manage clinical study implementation across multiple hospital sites
    • Conduct site initiation visits and investigator training
    • Ensure adherence to Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and ethics approvals
    • Maintain proper documentation for clinical study reports

    Data & Evidence Generation

    • Oversee collection and analysis of clinical parameters such as:
    • Thermal stability
    • Shivering episodes
    • Infection indicators
    • Patient comfort and recovery outcomes
    • Ensure data integrity, quality, and statistical reliability

    Scientific Communication

    • Prepare:
    • Clinical study reports
    • Peer-review publications
    • Conference abstracts and posters
    • Clinical evidence dossiers

    Ideal Candidate Profile

    Education

    One of the following:

    • MBBS / BDS
    • PharmD
    • MSc Clinical Research
    • MSc Life Sciences / Biotechnology with clinical research experience

    Experience

    • 38 years experience in clinical research or hospital-based studies
    • Experience working with CROs, hospitals, or medical device trials
    • Prior experience engaging with clinicians or investigators

    Strongly preferred:

    • ICU / neonatal / critical care/ dialysis research exposure
    • Experience initiating hospital clinical collaborations
    • Experience with investigator-initiated trials
    • Infection control or patient monitoring research

    Critical Skills

    The ideal candidate should demonstrate:

    Ability to build trust with clinicians and hospital leadership

    Strong scientific understanding and clinical research methodology

    Excellent communication and presentation skills

    Ability to initiate and drive hospital collaborations independently

    Strong clinical documentation and scientific writing capabilities
