Lead Civil Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

Design & Engineering Leadership

• Lead the preparation and review of civil engineering designs, drawings, and specifications including foundations, structural works, earthworks, drainage, and roads.
• Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards (IS, ACI, BS), and project requirements.
• Review geotechnical reports and provide engineering solutions accordingly.

Project Management & Coordination

• Coordinate civil engineering activities with other disciplines (mechanical, electrical, structural).
• Manage subcontractors and vendors related to civil works.
• Monitor progress, resolve site issues, and ensure adherence to schedule and budget.

Site Supervision & Quality Control

• Conduct site inspections and ensure construction quality meets design standards.
• Implement safety protocols and environmental guidelines on site.
• Review and approve work method statements, inspection test plans (ITPs), and reports.

Team Management & Development

• Mentor and lead a team of civil engineers and technicians.
• Facilitate training and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering
• Professional certifications (e.g., PMP, Chartered Engineer) are advantageous

Experience:

• 815 years of experience in civil engineering design and execution, preferably in infrastructure, industrial, or EPC projects
• Proven leadership experience managing engineering teams and site activities

Key Skills:

• Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, materials, and construction methods
• Proficient in AutoCAD, STAAD Pro, or other structural and civil design software
• Excellent project management and problem-solving skills
• Effective communication and team leadership abilities
• Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental regulations
