Lead Catalog & Merchandising Quality Assurance
Role Overview
We are looking for a Lead Catalog & Merchandising Quality Assurance to own the quality assurance function for product catalog and merchandising assets across all Group Bayport platforms.
This role will be responsible for ensuring accuracy, completeness, and consistency of product pages, catalog data, images, and merchandising elements before and after going live.
In addition to operational QA checks, the role will also drive quality dashboards, reporting, process improvements, and governance frameworks to maintain high catalog standards and a consistent customer experience across all brands and markets.
Key Responsibilities
QA Ownership & Governance
Own the end-to-end QA process for catalog and merchandising assets.
Define and maintain QA frameworks, audit checklists, and quality guidelines.
Establish catalog quality standards and compliance benchmarks across platforms.
Ensure adherence to defined templates and merchandising standards.
Catalog & PDP Quality Assurance
Ensure accuracy and completeness of product pages including:
Product titles and descriptions
Technical specifications and attributes
Variant structures (sizes, fabrics, colors, customization options)
Pricing and product configuration logic
Product categorization and taxonomy
Validate that all PDP elements are correctly implemented and aligned with merchandising guidelines.
Creative Asset Validation
Review and validate:
PDP image sets (hero images, contextual images, feature highlights, installation images, lifestyle images etc.)
Image sequencing and naming conventions
Feature callouts, icons, and visual highlights
Video and installation content
Template compliance across assets
Ensure creative assets accurately represent product features and specifications.
Merchandising & Platform Validation
Audit and validate:
Product placement and categorization on CLP / PLP
Filters, sorting logic, and product tags
Category mapping and navigation structure
Merchandising widgets and promotional elements
Ensure that products are correctly discoverable and aligned with merchandising strategy.
QA Dashboards & Reporting
Build and maintain catalog quality dashboards and reporting frameworks.
Track catalog completeness, asset accuracy, and quality compliance metrics.
Publish weekly and monthly QA reports.
Identify recurring issues and provide insights for process improvement.
Monitor quality trends and improvements across catalog workflows.
Process Improvement
Identify gaps in catalog workflows and recommend improvements.
Work with Product, Tech, Merchandising, and Catalog teams to reduce quality issues.
Introduce validation mechanisms to prevent errors before publishing.
Continuously refine QA processes and documentation.
Cross-Team Collaboration
Collaborate closely with:
Merchandising team
Catalog team
Content team
Creative / Studio teams
External partners and agencies
Ensure alignment on catalog standards, asset requirements, and quality expectations.
Skills & Experience
5+ years of experience in e-commerce catalog quality assurance
Strong understanding of product catalog structures, PDP frameworks, and merchandising workflows
Experience creating dashboards, reports, and quality monitoring frameworks
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
High attention to detail and quality orientation
Advanced Excel / reporting capabilities
Familiarity with CMS or PIM systems
