Lead Business System Analyst – Enterprise Data

In this role you will

• Act as a data subject matter expert for our new data platform, supporting business users and IT colleagues. • Work with business stakeholders to understand their data requirements and document them at an appropriate level. Once agreed then translate these into stories and tasks for development. • Utilise specialist knowledge and experience of business areas, products and systems to ensure effective and innovative technical solution design. • Work with QA colleagues to support the robust testing of changes. • Plan and facilitate requirements elicitation sessions such as workshops and 1-to-1 interviews. • Conduct system prototype demonstrations to validate requirements. • Assist the digital product manager in facilitating the prioritisation of business requirements.

You should apply if you have

• Solid understanding of business analysis concepts, methods and practices in an information technology environment. • General and London Market Insurance domain experience. • Experienced in defining data lineage from source systems to an Enterprise Data Warehouse. • Solid understanding of agile delivery methodologies. • Strong oral and written communication skills. • Strong problem-solving skills. • Ability to influence others to improve processes and application quality.

Nice to haves

• Greenfield Data Warehouse build experience is highly desirable. • Some experience using JIRA or similar agile tools. • Solid understanding of SQL and ability to use SQL tools to query a database to retrieve data
