Job Summary

Lowe's Finance organization is executing a multi-year program to modernize legacy accounting and financial reporting platforms for the enterprise. The primary purpose of this role is to lead the design and implementation of finance and accounting reporting tools, data models, and data mapping under the Finance Technology Modernization (FTM) program.

The primary responsibility of this role is gathering the functional requirements for queries and reports, configuring new queries and reports, reviewing builds completed by other team members, performing user acceptance testing, implementation support, issue resolution, master data governance, mapping, and end-user training,

Core Responsibilities

  • Acts to fully understand the reporting objectives and landscape, which includes ad-hoc queries and delivered reports spread across various reporting tools.
  • Understand the data structure and reporting capabilities of the Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP including General Ledger, Project Accounting, Fixed Assets, Accounts Payable and Procurement modules including Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence (OTBI), Oracle Business Intelligence Publisher (BIP), Oracle Smartview, and Oracle Fusion Analytics Warehouse (FAW) reporting tools that will replace the PeopleSoft ERP and legacy retail services reporting applications.
  • Research and document business requirements for financial and operational reporting
  • Maps the current reports and ad-hoc user queries to the new data model and configures equivalent queries and reports using out-of-the-box features in the new tools.
  • Coordinate with the Technology teams to build complex reports that couldn't be configured using the out-of-the-box features of the reporting tool.
  • Perform tie-out of current state reports to future state reports.
  • Oversees the configuration of new reporting applications and tests the solution to ensure the technologies meet business requirements for accounting and financial reporting capabilities.
  • Monitors and takes action to make sure deadlines and deliverables are met in accordance with workstream and FTM program timelines.
  • Identifies, resolves, and/or escalates key issues/risks/decisions to maintain workstream progress Design, test, and implement key finance/accounting system controls focused on data integrity for system integrations, metadata governance, and reports.
  • Identify key data requirements and participate in designing and validating data availability and mapping in new reporting applications and data warehouses.

Primary Skills

  • Functional acumen understanding of corporate accounting processes in the areas of General Ledger, Projects, Assets, Payables & Procurement
  • Oracle Fusion Financials ERP data model
  • 8+ years of experience in reporting and financial analysis
  • Experience working with reporting tools like Power BI & Fusion Analytics Warehouse
  • Basic knowledge of running SQL queries on the ERP / Reporting database
  • Self-motivated, strong leadership skills and excellent verbal/written skills
  • Excellent time management/organizational skills
