Lead Business Analyst Cargo

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Agile Delivery

Lead and mentor a team of Business Analysts in an Agile/Scrum environment, enabling them to become independently productive across assigned functional areas.

Drive daily Scrum ceremonies for the Commercial module and actively contribute to cross-module functional understanding.

Groom, share, and institutionalize system and domain knowledge to ensure continuity, scalability, and consistency within the Business Analysis team.

Leverage GitHub Copilot and AI-assisted tools to improve team productivity in backlog grooming, requirement refinement, documentation standardization, and knowledge reuse.

Requirements & Solution Design

Collaborate with customers and internal stakeholders to evaluate, elicit, analyze, and document business requirements, ensuring completeness, clarity, and traceability.

Prepare and maintain Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), functional specifications, user stories, and solution documentation, obtaining formal customer sign-off prior to development.

Create detailed business process workflows, functional models, and system interaction diagrams aligned with real-world cargo and airline operational processes.

Partner closely with UI/UX designers to define user interface designs, wireframes, and mock-ups that reflect actual user journeys and operational usage.

Use GitHub Copilot to accelerate creation and refinement of requirement documents, user stories, acceptance criteria, functional flows, and traceability artifacts, ensuring consistency and quality.

Customer Engagement & Stakeholder Management

Internal - General Use

Lead client discussions, workshops, and requirement review sessions with key business and IT stakeholders to understand objectives, operational challenges, and system needs. Act as the primary business-facing point of contact during delivery, ensuring alignment between customer expectations, solution scope, and delivery outcomes.

Travel as required to support customer workshops, requirement sessions, and critical stakeholder engagements.

Use AI-assisted summarization and documentation (via GitHub Copilot) to rapidly capture workshop outcomes, decisions, risks, and action items.

Development, Testing & Acceptance

Provide ongoing business and functional guidance to development and QA teams during build and test phases to ensure solutions meet approved requirements and specifications.

Ensure comprehensive test coverage through structured requirement reviews, validation processes, and traceability to test scenarios.

Collaborate with QA teams by leveraging GitHub Copilot to assist in generating test scenarios, edge cases, and requirement-based validation checklists.

Review completed developments and defect fixes and provide formal Business Analyst acceptance prior to release.

Plan and conduct solution demonstrations for business users and formally initiate and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

Production Readiness & Support

Lead hyper-care support activities post go-live, ensuring timely issue resolution and root cause analysis in collaboration with technical teams.

Investigate operational issues, identify underlying causes, and support testing and implementation of corrective actions.

Ensure structured and complete handover of completed Change Requests (CRs), including AI-assisted generation of handover notes, functional summaries, and known limitations, to the Application Management Services (AMS) team.

Product & Continuous Improvement

Contribute regularly to Cargo product initiatives by actively participating in product management discussions, roadmap reviews, and prioritization sessions.

Internal - General Use

Create, maintain, and periodically update user manuals and product documentation, leveraging GitHub Copilot for content drafting, consistency checks, and updates.

Provide thought leadership by identifying industry trends, innovations, and continuous improvement opportunities in aviation cargo and logistics systems.

Support service roadmap creation and contribute to strategic planning and innovation initiatives, including responsible adoption of AI-assisted analysis and documentation practices.

Governance, Planning & Collaboration

Collaborate with multiple lines of business to gather project forecasts and support annual budgeting, capacity planning, and prioritization activities.

Work closely with delivery, QA, development, and product teams to ensure solutions are aligned with customer needs and organizational objectives.

Support and mentor junior Business Analysts, QA engineers, and development teams in effective and responsible use of GitHub Copilot for requirements, documentation, and analysis activities throughout the delivery lifecycle.

GitHub Copilot (Business Analysis & Documentation)

Hands-on experience leveraging GitHub Copilot to accelerate and standardize Business Analysis deliverables, including BRDs, user stories, acceptance criteria, functional specifications, and solution documentation.

Use AI-assisted capabilities to refine requirement clarity, improve documentation quality, ensure consistency across artifacts, and reduce turnaround time.

Apply GitHub Copilot to support test scenario ideation, edge-case identification, requirement-to-test traceability, and release documentation.

Candidates must have proven experience in the cargo industry, with a strong background in aviation cargo and logistics systems.
