Job Description
The VB Developer/Lead will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining applications using Visual Basic. They will provide technical guidance, conduct code reviews, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of projects. Responsibilities
- Design and develop applications using VB6/VB.NET, adhering to best practices and coding standards.
- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure high-quality code.
- Lead and mentor a team of developers, providing technical guidance and support.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers and designers, to understand project requirements and deliver solutions.
- Enhance and maintain existing applications, ensuring optimal performance and scalability.
- Stay updated with the latest VB technologies and industry trends, and propose innovative solutions.
- Document and communicate technical specifications and project progress effectively.
- Identify and resolve technical issues, providing timely and efficient solutions.
- Ensure adherence to project timelines and deliver projects within the allocated budget.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment, promoting knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in VB6/VB.NET development, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
- Experience in leading and managing development teams, with strong leadership and communication skills.
- Proficiency in VB6/VB.NET, including knowledge of OOP concepts, data structures, and algorithms.
- Familiarity with database technologies such as SQL Server or Oracle, and experience in designing and optimizing database structures.
- Understanding of software development lifecycle and agile methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and industry best practices.
