Boeing seeking a skilled Lead Azure System Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, securing, and operating Microsoft Azure infrastructure and Linux (RHEL) and/or Windows OS that supports production workloads. This role focuses on infrastructure reliability, scalability, security, and automation and focuses on OS stability, security hardening, automation, patching, and performance, working closely with SAP application and HANA database teams to ensure Azure environments meet business and compliance requirements. The ideal candidate has hands‑on experience with Azure IaaS and PaaS, and with at least one Operating System (Linux (RHEL) or Windows Servers), understands enterprise networking and identity, and applies Infrastructure as Code and automation to operate Azure workloads at scale. A prior experience of working on SAP workloads on Azure is preferred.

Good communication skills are needed both verbally and written, to Interact with peers and customers. Job requires the ability to work well with others on a team as well as independently. Job requires working within a diverse team of skilled and motivated co-workers to collaborate on results. Other qualities for this candidate are a positive attitude, self-motivated, the ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment, and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.

This role will be based out of Bangalore, India.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Design, deploy, and maintain Azure infrastructure including Virtual Machines, Virtual Networks, storage, load balancing, and core platform services
  • Install, configure, harden, and maintain Windows Server and/or RHEL operating systems in production environments
  • Support production workloads with a focus on high availability, resiliency, scalability, and performance
  • Perform system lifecycle management including provisioning, upgrades, and decommissioning
  • Troubleshoot complex OS‑level issues (CPU, memory, disk, services, kernel / driver issues)- Participate in Azure infrastructure and VMs upgrades, migrations, and decommissioning
  • Good understanding of Active Directory, Group Policy, and Windows authentication services
  • Hands on experience with Azure Networking
  • Implement secure workload designs aligned with Zero Trust principles
  • Ensure infrastructure complies with organizational security standards and regulatory requirements
  • Experience with provisioning, configuration, and operational tasks using Azure CLI, PowerShell, and DevOps
  • Configure alerts and dashboards to support proactive incident detection
  • Define and support backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity requirements
  • Hands on experience with Azure native FinOps and its components is preferred.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • A Bachelor's degree is required as a BASIC QUALIFICATION.
  • Hands‑on experience managing Azure infrastructure in production environments
  • Strong knowledge of Azure IaaS (VMs, networking, storage) and core PaaS services
  • Solid understanding of Azure compute, networking, identity, and security fundamentals
  • Experience supporting high‑availability and DR architectures
  • Proficiency with PowerShell and/or Azure CLI
  • Hands‑on experience administering at least one OS: Windows Server or Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
  • Strong OS troubleshooting skills and understanding of system internals
  • Experience with patch management, OS hardening, and security controls
  • HA/DR design experience, using Azure site recovery
  • Knowledge of SAP Basis fundamentals
  • Experience on cost optimization methods (RI vs. Pay-as-you-go)
  • Monitoring and supervision of cost using Azure Cost Management
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 12-15 Years of Industry experience
  • 5-8 years of experience in Azure
  • 3-5 years of experience in SAP Basis
  • Engineering Degree or equivalent
  • Azure certifications such as AZ‑104, AZ‑305, or equivalent
  • SAP Certifications

Typical Education & Experience:

  • Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) 12 to 16 years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Relocation:

  • This position does offer relocation within INDIA.
