About the role:

The Lead Associate of Planning will be responsible for spearheading the end-to-end merchandise and financial planning process. This role acts as the bridge between strategy and execution, ensuring that sales targets, inventory health, and revenue goals are met across multiple business segments. The ideal candidate will combine strong analytical rigor with the ability to lead a team and influence stakeholders.

Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Sales & Revenue Planning

  • Develop and manage Annual, Seasonal, and Monthly Operating Plans (MOP) to drive business growth.
  • Execute granular revenue planning across various segments, including Business Units (BU), fulfillment types, article levels, and gender categories.
  • Actively participate in the formulation and execution of long-term business strategies.

2. Inventory & OTB Management

  • Manage the Open-to-Buy (OTB) process and inward capacity for assigned categories.
  • Track OTB utilization against target opening inventory, proactively identifying and mitigating variances.
  • Carry out a rigorous monthly re-planning process to realign sales plans based on current market trends and performance.

3. Performance Monitoring & Analytics

  • Monitor assortment health across key metrics (Sell-throughs, Cover, ROS) and drive corrective actions to maximize conversions.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive reporting frameworks that provide a 360-degree view of portfolio health.
  • Track and monitor daily/weekly performance against the MOP to ensure the business remains on track.

4. Stakeholder & Team Leadership

  • Lead and mentor a team of planning associates to ensure operational excellence.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Sourcing, Marketing, Finance, and Operations) to gather planning inputs.
  • Ensure all plans are aligned and agreed upon by key stakeholders within established timelines.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 3-6 years in Retail Planning, Demand Planning, or Category Management (preferably in E-commerce or Fashion).
  • Education: MBA or Master's degree in Finance, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets; experience with ERP/Planning software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or SQL) and BI tools (Tableau/Power BI).
  • Soft Skills: Strong negotiation skills, executive presence, and the ability to simplify complex data for diverse audiences.
