Position: Lead Analyst / Team Manager

Location: Gurugram, India

Function: Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) / Portfolio Strategy

Reporting Line: Partnering with New York stakeholders

Role Overview:

The role involves leading day-to-day operations and managing a team within the Center of Excellence (COE) focused on FP&A and Portfolio Strategy Management, while working in close partnership with stakeholders in New York.

Key Responsibilities (Team Manager):

  • Lead and motivate a team of professionals, assign tasks, and monitor performance against goals.
  • Foster a collaborative and positive team culture, resolving any conflicts efficiently.
  • Conduct performance reviews, provide feedback, and identify development needs.
  • Manage project timelines, workload distribution, and resource allocation.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, understanding and aligning with their needs.
  • Identify and implement process optimization and efficiency improvements.
  • Promote knowledge sharing, best practices, and continuous team learning.
  • Track macro-economic indicators and derive meaningful insights.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Acquisitions, Asset Management, Capital Markets, Portfolio Management, Legal, Tax, and Finance.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Master's degree in Finance, Banking, or related field (Mathematics is a plus).
  • CFA / CA designation is a strong plus.
  • Exceptional quantitative aptitude and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Prior experience in valuation reporting or financial analytics preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical mindset, intellectual curiosity, and problem-solving abilities.
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and a focus on data validation.
  • Strong communication skills written, verbal, and active listening.
  • Excellent teamwork, interpersonal skills, and discretion.
  • Self-driven with initiative, energy, and the ability to work independently.

Team Associate Responsibilities (For Reference):

  • Maintain valuation metrics and portfolio data for real estate properties.
  • Update trackers and databases for real estate and debt reporting.
  • Build and enhance databases for acquisition/disposition tracking, peer comparison, and performance attribution.
  • Provide accurate portfolio data to investor reporting teams or LPs.
  • Support creation of investor materials, such as quarterly letters and marketing documents.
  • Perform ad-hoc analyses, business cases, and identify key trends and variances.
  • Coordinate quarterly reporting between onshore and offshore teams.
  • Proactively seek operational efficiencies and reporting enhancements.
  • Support business initiatives and ensure consistent focus on risk management and compliance.
