Your impact

Project Accounting

  • Understand and co-ordinate the Set up of new projects, open and close time classes in company system (ORACLE), apply transaction controls, budget, payment terms and configure the contract in the Project Accounting System
  • Analyze and understand the contract terms & conditions and accordingly check that correct billing is done to the client for T&M and Fixed Price projects.
  • Understand the impact of price escalation or change notices as per contract conditions and ensure that the same is correctly accounted.
  • Effectively communicate with Project Managers (PM) and Principals-in-Charge (PIC), regarding contract documents, change orders and other contract modifications, approvals, and any additional services-related to billing.
  • Have a good understanding of accounting standards for revenue recognition.
  • Prepare final invoice package containing draft and final invoices for all billable projects, including all applicable backup for approval by the Accounting Supervisor.
  • Research and analysis any unbilled issues to ensure correct billing and related provisioning
  • Maintain folders / files for all projects, with all the appropriate documents, including expenses, consultant invoices, and monthly invoices, in accordance with standard procedures.
  • Responsible for testing and/or review for Internal Control over Financial Reporting for revenue function
  • Ensure year-end preparation of auditor requirements like schedules, listing, support documentation. Front facing the auditors on their queries and making sure matters of significance are cleared within timely manner

Management reporting and taxation


  • Monthly gross margin analysis and revenue analysis
  • Prepare/review of intercompany margin analysis/ Transfer pricing
  • Provide comprehensive support to the tax team, addressing inquiries related to financial figures with accuracy and efficiency.
    • Working knowledge of income tax/GST regulations and laws
    • Aligning and reconciling monthly GST records with the organization's accounting entries for accuracy and consistency.
    • Conducting follow-ups with pertinent individuals to rectify errors or mistakes identified in the GST Outward register.
    • Collaborating with the tax team to facilitate monthly compliance activities
    • Aligning and reconciling the 26AS report with the organization's accounting records for accuracy and consistency
    • Compiling a revenue analysis for the purpose of Advance Tax calculations.
Here's what you'll need

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to demonstrate strong Microsoft Office skills (especially MS Excel)
  • Experience with a large ERP system (ideally Oracle) and Hyperion Financial Management
  • Ability to organize and prioritize workloads, multi-task and meet required deadlines
  • Ability to identify issues, analyze possible solutions and independently resolve problems with medium complexity.
  • Participate in the development and maintenance of policies and procedures for financial reporting activities, and their continuous improvement process including automation and acceleration.
    • Drive process improvement/automation and identify opportunities for cost savings.
    • 7-8 years experience in respective activity
