Responsibilities
Delivery Operations Management:
- Manage daily last-mile delivery operations, ensuring adherence to timelines and SLAs.
- Oversee routing, scheduling, and allocation of delivery resources for maximum efficiency.
- Collaborate with 3PL partners, in-house teams, and drivers to ensure smooth delivery processes.
Performance Monitoring & Analysis:
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery rate, customer satisfaction, and order accuracy.
- Identify bottlenecks and implement solutions to improve delivery efficiency.
- Use data analytics to optimize routes, delivery methods, and resource utilization.
Vendor & Fleet Management:
- Manage relationships with third-party logistics (3PL) providers and negotiate contracts as needed.
- Ensure proper maintenance, availability, and tracking of delivery vehicles and assets.
Customer Experience:
- Address delivery issues, complaints, and escalations promptly.
- Develop strategies to improve customer satisfaction through enhanced delivery processes.
Technology Integration:
- Leverage delivery management software and GPS tracking tools to streamline operations.
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement and upgrade systems as necessary.
Compliance & Safety:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and safety standards.
- Train and supervise drivers and logistics staff on safety protocols and operational procedures.
Cost Optimization:
- Monitor and manage delivery budgets, reducing costs while maintaining service quality.
- Identify opportunities for process automation and operational improvements to reduce delivery expenses.
