Landscape Architect – Technical Delivery

• ICON is seeking a talented and motivated Landscape Architects to join our new Landscape Architecture team in our new Bengaluru studio, a production and technical delivery studio supporting ICON projects across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and the wider region.
• This is an opportunity for a landscape architect to contribute to the production of landscape packages, from Detailed Design (DD) through to Tender and IFC, for a diverse portfolio of landscape, public realm, mixed-use, hospitality, and destination projects led by our UAE and KSA teams.
• Reporting to the Associate Landscape Architect in Bengaluru and working closely with the Senior Landscape Architects in Bengaluru and Associate and Senior Landscape Architects in the UAE and KSA, you will develop your technical skills within a collaborative delivery team. Creative and design leadership remains primarily with our UAE teams.
• You will also contribute to the evolution of our digital delivery capabilities through the adoption of BIM, AI-enabled workflows, and platforms such as Vantagepoint.

The Role

• As a Landscape Architect, you will contribute to the production of landscape packages across multiple projects, developing drawings, details, and models under the guidance of Senior Landscape Architects and the Associate Landscape Architect, and supporting the team in delivering to programme and quality standards.
• You will be responsible for the accuracy and quality of your own work, applying QA/QC procedures and drawing standards, and for building your technical capability across the post-concept design stages.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce landscape architecture drawings, details, schedules, and models across the post-concept design stages, from DD through to Tender and IFC, in support of UAE and KSA design teams.
• Develop design intent provided by the UAE and KSA teams into accurate, coordinated, and buildable technical documentation.
• Apply QA/QC procedures, drawing and model standards, and self-checking to all deliverables before review.
• Manage your own tasks and deadlines to meet project programmes, keeping the Senior and Associate Landscape Architects informed of progress and issues.
• Record time accurately against projects using Vantagepoint (VP) and work within allocated hours.
• Respond to comments and design changes from UAE and KSA project teams, seeking clarification where information is unclear.
• Participate in project coordination meetings and team reviews, and coordinate with Engineering and BIM colleagues as required.
• Support Graduate Landscape Architects and contribute to a positive, collaborative team culture.
• Develop your knowledge of landscape construction, materials, planting, and external works through on-the-job learning and mentoring.
• Contribute to studio templates, libraries, and standards, ensuring consistency with the UAE studio.
• Promote the use of digital technologies, BIM workflows, AI-enabled tools, and Vantagepoint systems to improve project delivery and efficiency.

About You

• You are a Landscape Architect with solid technical delivery skills and a strong interest in developing your career in landscape production. You are organised, collaborative, and detail-focused, comfortable working from direction and mark-ups and working with international design teams across locations and time zones.

Work Experience Requirements:

You will bring:

• 3+ years of professional experience in Landscape Architecture, with exposure to technical delivery and production.
• Experience preparing SD, DD, Tender, and/or IFC packages for landscape and external works projects, ideally on GCC or international projects.
• Ability to work from design direction and mark-ups to deliver accurate, well-coordinated drawings.
• Understanding of QA/QC processes and programme requirements.
• Good time management and an understanding of project hours and time recording.
• Good English communication skills and comfort working with international or overseas design teams.
• A proactive, collaborative, and eager-to-learn approach.

Technical Skills

Key Requirements

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and working knowledge of Revit.
• Experience working within BIM-enabled project environments.
• Excellent understanding of landscape construction detailing, materials, hardscape, softscape, and external works.
• Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Desirable

• Experience with Deltek Vantagepoint or similar time-tracking platforms.
• Working knowledge of Civil 3D and MicroStation.
• Experience with Rhino (Grasshopper), SketchUp, Lumion, Enscape and/or D5 Render.
• Experience using AI-enabled tools to support design development, reporting, and project delivery.

Qualifications

• Degree or post-graduate qualification in Landscape Architecture, Architecture, or a related discipline.
• GCC (UAE and/or KSA) project experience is preferred.
