Senior Landscape Architect- Technical Delivery

• ICON is seeking a talented and motivated Senior Landscape Architects to join our new Landscape Architecture team in our new Bengaluru studio, a production and technical delivery studio supporting ICON projects across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and the wider region.
• This is an opportunity for an experienced landscape architect to deliver post-concept design stages, from Detailed Design (DD) through to Tender and IFC, for a diverse portfolio of projects led by our UAE and KSA teams.
• Reporting to the Associate Landscape Architect in Bengaluru and working closely with Associate and Senior Landscape Architects in the UAE and KSA, you will take ownership of technical packages, quality, and the guidance of junior team members. Creative and design leadership remains primarily with our UAE teams.
• You will also contribute to the evolution of our digital delivery capabilities through the adoption of BIM, AI-enabled workflows, and platforms such as Vantagepoint.

The Role

• As a Senior Landscape Architect, you will lead the development of landscape packages from DD through to Tender and IFC, translating design intent from the UAE and KSA teams into coordinated, accurate, and buildable technical documentation, while guiding and reviewing the work of Landscape Architects and Graduate Landscape Architects.
• You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of technical quality, QA/QC, and programme performance on your packages, and for working effectively with the Associate Landscape Architect and our overseas project teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver landscape architecture packages across the post-concept design stages, from DD through to Tender and IFC, in support of UAE and KSA design teams.
• Interpret design intent and direction from UAE and KSA project leads and translate it into accurate, coordinated, and buildable drawings, details, schedules, and models.
• Take ownership of technical quality on assigned packages, applying QA/QC, checking and review procedures, and drawing standards.
• Plan and manage assigned deliverables and programmes, keeping the Associate Landscape Architect informed of progress, risks, and resource needs.
• Track and report time against budgeted hours on assigned projects using Vantagepoint (VP), flagging variances early.
• Act as a day-to-day technical contact for Associate and Senior Landscape Architects in the UAE and KSA, clarifying information requirements and managing design changes and handovers.
• Participate in project coordination meetings and progress reviews with UAE and KSA teams, consultants, and Engineering and BIM colleagues.
• Review and check the work of Landscape Architects and Graduate Landscape Architects, providing clear guidance and constructive feedback.
• Mentor and support junior team members, contributing to a positive, collaborative, and high-performing team culture.
• Promote the use of digital technologies, BIM workflows, AI-enabled tools, and Vantagepoint systems to improve project delivery and efficiency.

About You

• You are an experienced Landscape Architect with strong technical delivery skills and a solid track record on post-concept design stages, from SD through to IFC. You are organised, collaborative, and detail-focused, and comfortable working with international design teams across locations and time zones.

Work Experience Requirements:

You will bring:

• 6+ years of professional experience in Landscape Architecture, with a focus on technical delivery and production.
• Strong experience across the post-concept design stages (SD, DD, Tender, and IFC) on landscape and external works packages, ideally on GCC or international projects.
• Experience delivering landscape, public realm, mixed-use, hospitality, and infrastructure projects.
• Ability to work independently on packages and to review and guide the work of junior team members.
• Good understanding of programme planning, QA/QC processes, and project hours and commercial performance.
• Excellent English communication skills and experience working with international or overseas design teams.
• A proactive, collaborative, and solutions-focused approach.

Technical Skills

Key Requirements

• Strong knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit.
• Proven experience working within BIM-enabled, multidisciplinary project environments and coordinating with BIM and Engineering teams.
• Excellent knowledge of landscape construction detailing, materials, hardscape, softscape, and external works.
• Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) for drawing and document production.
• Strong understanding of digital design and project delivery workflows.

Desirable

• Experience with Deltek Vantagepoint or similar time-tracking and project management platforms.
• Working knowledge of Civil 3D and MicroStation.
• Experience with Rhino (Grasshopper), SketchUp, Lumion, Enscape and/or D5 Render.
• Experience using AI-enabled tools to support design development, reporting, and project delivery.

Qualifications

• Degree or post-graduate qualification in Landscape Architecture, Architecture, or a related discipline.
• Professional Chartership or Accreditation (CMLI, ASLA, AILA, LI, or equivalent) is advantageous.
• GCC (UAE and/or KSA) project experience is preferred.
