Job Description

(Role Responsibilities):

  • Responsible for acquiring land under relevant Acts and Rules for new solar park projects and ensuring all required statutory approvals are obtained.
  • Negotiate land purchase or lease agreements, ensuring alignment with business needs and current legal regulations.
  • Conduct legal due diligence of land records including TSR, and review legal documents such as MOUs, deeds, and agreements.
  • Prepare and manage land acquisition budgets and obtain necessary management approvals.
  • Facilitate the acquisition of private, government, forest, and ST/SC land in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Identify and manage external agencies, land arrangers, facilitators, and legal advocates to support the acquisition process.
  • Submit and track applications for required permits and clearances (Land, Forest, Environment, Water, Power, Railways, etc.).
  • Build and maintain strong networks and public relations with government officials, community stakeholders, and local authorities.
  • Liaison with government, corporates, media, NGOs, and regulatory agencies to ensure full compliance with project terms, approvals, and NOCs.
  • Coordinate with senior management and internal teams to align land acquisition activities with core business goals.
  • Prepare and implement Rehabilitation and Resettlement (R&R) Plans and ensure timely execution.
  • Maintain all documentation, MIS, and land records including AutoCAD files and legal documents.
  • Monitor land/property market activity including valuations, deals, and market trends.
  • Conduct site evaluations, feasibility studies, and post-construction potential analysis.
  • Ensure zero litigation through detailed legal due diligence and documentation.
  • Liaise with revenue and municipal officials for land surveys, registration, mutation, Khaata, land use conversions, and project-related approvals (e.g., Fire NOC, BU Permission, OC, CC, etc.).
  • Maintain cordial relations with farmers and public officials (Tehsildars, Deputy Commissioners) and mobilize public support where necessary.
  • Provide full support to the site team and obtain required clearances or permits from authorities.
