Role Description

This is a part-time on-site role for a Lactation Consultant based in Bengaluru. The Lactation Consultant will provide expert guidance and support to new mothers in their breastfeeding journey. Responsibilities include assisting with breastfeeding techniques, addressing lactation challenges, educating patients on feeding plans, and collaborating with the neonatal and maternal healthcare teams to ensure optimal neonatal and maternal outcomes. The role requires direct interaction and hands-on consultation with patients and their families.

Qualifications

• Certification as a Lactation Counselor or relevant lactation-related certification
• Proficiency in lactation support and knowledge of breastfeeding techniques
• Experience in Neonatal Intensive Care and Maternal-Child Health
• Basic understanding of medical practices related to neonatal and maternal care
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build trust and provide compassionate care
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary medical team
• Prior experience in pediatric or maternity care is an advantage
• Bachelor's degree in nursing, healthcare, or a related field preferred
