Your new role

As a LabVantage LIMS Developer specializing in interfacing and integrations, you'll be at the heart of our globalLIMS Connectivity project-ensuring seamless data flow between laboratory systems that support quality control operations across our global network. This is a hands-on technical role where you'll translate complex laboratory and business needs into compliant, scalable LIMS solutions that meet the highest standards of data integrity and patient safety.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Designing, developing, and customizing LabVantage LIMS integrations using REST/SOAP and middleware platforms (e.g., MuleSoft) to connect laboratory instruments and enterprise applications

  • Serving as technical SME and Tech Lead for the LabVantage 8.9 Upgrade Project, guiding the technical direction and supporting GxP validation activities

  • Collaborating closely with Line of Business, Quality teams, IT colleagues, and vendors to analyse requirements and deliver the most feasible, compliant solutions

  • Providing advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis support to LIMS teams, resolving critical issues that impact global operations

  • Leading deployment activities, releases, and upgrades across environments while maintaining comprehensive technical documentation

  • Developing Groovy scripts for calculations, static data building, and business logic implementation

  • Ensuring all solutions meet GxP compliance, data integrity standards, and quality regulations

Within Enterprise IT & Quality sits LIMS, Planning & Ecosystems-a specialized team responsible for supporting QC Lab systems globally. Our work encompasses system development, operation, maintenance, and support for globalLIMS, the core LIMS platform used across Quality Control and R&D. Based in GBS India, you'll work in close collaboration with stakeholders at our headquarters and across our global sites, playing a vital role in maintaining the digital infrastructure that ensures our medicines meet the highest quality standards.

Your skills & qualifications

We're looking for an experienced LabVantage LIMS Developer who thrives in a regulated, quality-focused environment and brings a strong technical foundation combined with excellent stakeholder collaboration skills. You should have:

  • 8+ years of professional software development experience, with minimum 6+ years of hands-on experience working with LabVantage LIMS (v8.5 or higher) in a regulated Life Sciences environment

  • Extensive expertise in LIMS interfacing and system integrations using RESTful APIs, SOAP services, and middleware platforms (e.g., MuleSoft) for scalable, secure, and compliant integrations

  • Create and maintain technical documentation ensuring solutions meet GxP, data integrity, and quality standards

  • Strong proficiency in Groovy scripting for calculations, static data building, and business logic implementation

  • Demonstrated experience working with GxP compliant applications, including deep understanding of data integrity, change control, CSV processes, and validation expectations

  • Proven track record in stakeholder management, effectively translating laboratory and business needs into technical solutions while working with cross-functional teams including laboratory users, Quality, IT, and vendors

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to coordinate efficiently across diverse cultures and international time zones

  • Strong quality mindset with focus on compliance, robustness, and patient safety, Knowledge of Python is a plus
