About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Manager – Technical Services & Lab Administration to lead technical service laboratory operations and support business growth for Synthetic & Cellulosic Dyeing Auxiliaries. The role involves strong interaction with customers, sales teams, R&D, and external stakeholders to drive new product introductions, technical promotions, and market share growth.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Services & Lab Operations

  • Lead and manage the Technical Service Laboratory, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
  • Ensure proper maintenance, calibration, and upgradation of lab equipment.
  • Manage lab budgets, expenses, supplies, and procurement coordination.
  • Maintain SHE, ISO 9001 & ISO 18001 compliance and lab documentation.
  • Ensure safety, housekeeping, and statutory compliance in laboratory operations.

Business Development & Market Support

  • Provide technical support to Business Development and Sales teams for synthetic and cellulosic dyeing auxiliaries.
  • Conduct technical trials, concept promotions, and customer demonstrations.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor products, and technology gaps.
  • Support new product launches, NPIL/NPPS tracking, and technical documentation.
  • Drive reduction of slow-moving and non-moving inventory (above 90 days).

Technical Promotion & Customer Engagement

  • Develop and execute technical promotion strategies.
  • Prepare promotional literature, technical data sheets, process illustrations, and training material.
  • Visit key customers to offer cost-effective and optimized textile processes.
  • Resolve critical customer issues through QA and Technical Service Labs.
  • Liaise with research institutes, external labs, vendors, and trade bodies.

People Management & Training

  • Lead, mentor, and develop technical service executives.
  • Conduct regular technical training programs for continuous capability development.
  • Support performance management, discipline, and time management practices.

Key Outcomes / KPIs

  • Achievement of budgeted operational and gross profit targets.
  • New business generation through technical concepts and trials.
  • Market share growth and improved forecast accuracy.
  • High customer satisfaction and reduced technical complaints.
  • Error-free technical documentation and strong compliance record.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of textile auxiliaries, dyeing processes, machines, and substrates.
  • Hands-on experience in textile laboratory testing and application support.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Commercial mindset with the ability to link technical solutions to business growth.
  • Proven people management and leadership skills.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Minimum 10+ years experience in:
  • Textile application industry and/or product management
  • Strong exposure to:
  • Textile labs, dyeing machines, processes, and auxiliaries
  • Customer-facing technical roles
  • Bachelor's Degree (Textile / Chemistry / related field preferred)
