Implement, configure, and maintain LAN, WAN, and WLAN equipment from multiple vendors to ensure high availability and performance.
Upgrade network hardware and software components, detect firmware vulnerabilities using tools such as Cisco TotalCare, Rapid7, and SolarWinds NCM, and create/automate upgrade plans and processes for switches, routers, firewalls, FTD, FMC, and WAN optimizers.
Configure and troubleshoot switches, including VLANs, Private VLANs, VTP-v3, STP, PVSTP, RSTP, MST, EtherChannel, UDLD, SPAN/RSPAN, DAI, IP Source Guard, SNMP, NTP, Storm Control, Port Security, Switch Stacking, HSRP, VRRP, GLBP, AAA, Dot1x, MAB, DHCP, and DHCP Snooping.
Configure and manage routers with static and dynamic routing protocols, including RIP, OSPF, EIGRP, route redistribution, route summarization, route-maps, access-lists, prefix-lists, NetFlow, IPLA, and VRF.
Configure and maintain firewalls (Cisco ASA, Fortinet/FortiGate) including GRE/IPSec VPNs, NAT/PAT, SFR installation, access control policies, prefiltering, intrusion prevention, malware/file inspection, SSL inspection, and identity-based policies.
Support and troubleshoot Cisco wireless technologies, including wireless access points, controllers, SDA, LAN segmentation, and integration with Cisco ISE, Aruba ClearPass, and Meraki.
Provide L3-level enterprise network support, troubleshooting network issues, and ensuring adherence to best practices for reliability, performance, and security.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, document network changes, and maintain compliance with IT policies and operational standards.
Mentor junior network engineers and provide technical guidance on network design, implementation, and operations.
