L3 ACI Cisco Consulting Engineer - Routing & Switching

Maimsd Technology is seeking a highly skilled and experienced L3 ACI Cisco Consulting Engineer with deep expertise in Routing & Switching. The ideal candidate will provide expert-level support for Cisco ACI infrastructure, including troubleshooting, configuration, and optimization, while also possessing strong knowledge of traditional routing and switching technologies. This role requires the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, troubleshoot complex network issues, and effectively communicate with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver expert-level support for Cisco ACI (Application Centric Infrastructure) infrastructure, including in-depth troubleshooting, configuration, and optimization.
• Engage in proactive monitoring and maintenance of ACI environments to ensure optimal performance, high availability, and reliability.
• Install, configure, and support Cisco Routers and Switches in complex enterprise environments.
• Update Network equipment to the latest firmware releases, ensuring security and feature enhancements.
• Replace faulting network hardware components when required, minimizing downtime.
• Report network status, performance, and issues to key stakeholders effectively.
• Possess and apply Good Knowledge of Cisco ACI (mandatory for L3).
• Lead in-depth troubleshooting of connectivity issues across firewall/Load Balancer or proxy devices.
• Apply excellent problem analysis and solving skills, utilizing creativity, innovation, and an out-of-the-box approach when dealing with challenges.
• Able to work effectively under high pressure in a challenging environment.
• Collaborate and coordinate excellently within the technology community.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Experience: Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Cisco ACI Expertise:

• Good Knowledge of ACI is required for L3.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco ACI infrastructure support, troubleshooting, configuration, and optimization.

Routing & Switching Technology:

• Strong knowledge in Routing and Switching technology such as BGP, OSPF, vPC (Virtual Port Channel), Multicast, RSTP (Rapid Spanning Tree Protocol), MSTP (Multiple Spanning Tree Protocol), NAT (Network Address Translation), PBR (Policy-Based Routing), FHRP (First Hop Redundancy Protocol).
• In-depth exposure on Cisco Nexus 9K family from installation, commissioning, and configuration (Mandatory).
• Good understanding of MPLS (Multi-Protocol Label Switching) works.

WAN Technology:

• Knowledge in WAN technology such as MPLS, IPSEC (IP Security), GRE (Generic Routing Encapsulation), VPN (Virtual Private Network), DMVPN (Dynamic Multipoint VPN).
• Working level understanding of IPSEC, GRE, GETVPN.

Troubleshooting:

• Significant practical experience in troubleshooting connectivity issues across firewall/Load Balancer or proxy.

Soft Skills:

• Excellent communication and co-ordination skills within the technology community.
• Excellent problem analysis and solving skill applying creativity, innovation and thinking out of the box approach when dealing with challenges.
• Able to work under high pressure in a challenging environment.

Good to Have Skills:

• Knowledge in Cisco SDWAN solution (Viptela).
