Your Role And Responsibilities
- Will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining all network
devices/links at the data centres/ disaster recovery sites
- Fault Management for Network related issues at DC/DR/NDR
site : trouble ticket initiation, follow up problems till resolution and
escalation (if required)
- Perform network related changes on network devices as per
role and accessibility defined in SOP issued by the bank
- share daily report of device health status and configuration
changes from the tool used by the bank
- share reports on any alarms/events in all network devices in
data centres
- Provide inputs to L2 engineers for issue resolution, consulting,
IT infrastructure planning and change management.
- Escalate the issue to L2 engineer in case issue not resolved
- Coordinate with Data Centre team for issue resolution and
activities
- Maintain the inventory of network devices of DC/DR Network
- Participate in DR Drills
- Any Other work assigned by bank regarding network
- should be able to do cabling work for DC, DR & NDR (like
crimping / cable routing etc.)
- Co-ordinate with service providers
- Should keep updated Architecture diagram of DC/DR including
LAN ports details
Preferred Education
Associate's Degree/College Diploma
Required Technical And Professional Expertise
- Exposure to Networking Products: Familiarity with installation, maintenance, and repair of Networking products, such as Cisco, Juniper, Levella, Dell and Radware devices.
- Understanding of Technology and Software: Knowledge of operating systems, associated software, and the functions and capabilities of Networking equipment.
- Experience with Technical Support Tools: Familiarity with IBM tools, such as Cognitive Support Platform (Salesforce) and Watson Einstein Analytics, to drive automation and improve effectiveness of client operations.
- Basic Understanding of IT Engineering: Knowledge in areas of installation, customization, operation, recovery, tuning, and information technology engineering.
- Exposure to Hybrid Cloud Environments: Familiarity with onsite Infrastructure Services, maintenance, and consultancy for Hybrid Cloud client environments.
Preferred Technical And Professional Experience
- Familiarity with IT Service Management: Exposure to IT service management principles and practices, including problem and incident management, is beneficial for this role.
- Knowledge of Cloud Computing: Familiarity with cloud computing concepts, including hybrid cloud environments, is advantageous for providing onsite infrastructure services and consultancy.
- Understanding of Data Analytics: Exposure to data analytics tools, such as Watson Einstein Analytics, can aid in driving automation and improving effectiveness of client operations.
