Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled
L1 Firewall Engineer with hands-on experience in
Checkpoint (MZ) Firewall environments. The role involves monitoring, managing, and supporting firewall operations to ensure robust network security in a 24/7 setup.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor Checkpoint Firewall rules, logs, and traffic activity
- Perform basic firewall configuration and policy changes
- Troubleshoot IPS-related issues and security alerts
- Work with malware sandboxing tools for threat analysis
- Support DDoS protection systems (e.g., NetScout)
- Handle security incidents and escalate critical issues to L2/L3 teams
- Maintain logs, reports, and proper documentation
Required Skills & Competencies
- Hands-on experience with Checkpoint Firewall (IPS)
- Strong understanding of network security fundamentals
- Basic knowledge of malware sandboxing techniques
- Familiarity with DDoS detection and mitigation tools
- Good analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work in a 24/7 rotational shift environment
Educational Qualifications
- BE / B.Tech / BCA (Computer Science) OR
- Master's degree in CS / IT
