Experienced Kotlin Backend Consultant needed for multinational digital transformation, designing scalable microservices using Kotlin, Java, cloud (AWS), CI/CD, and collaborating in cross-functional teams.

As a Backend Consultant, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing scalable backend solutions using Kotlin and related technologies in a cloud-native environment. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, maintainable, and high-performance systems that support business-critical applications.Key Responsibilities:Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Kotlin (Ktor framework) and Java (Spring Boot, Hibernate).Architect and implement scalable microservices and serverless solutions on cloud platforms (AWS preferred).Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines, ensure effective monitoring, logging, and observability.Collaborate with frontend, DevOps, and product teams to deliver high-quality, reliable backend systems.Troubleshoot complex production issues and optimize system performance.Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives.Requirements:5+ years of experience in Kotlin development.7+ years of experience in Java backend development.Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and exception handling.Deep knowledge of core APIs, including collections, streams, and concurrency frameworks.Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Hibernate, and Ktor (3+ years ideally).Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS preferred), Docker, and Kubernetes.Experience designing scalable and resilient systems, including APIs and databases.Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and monitoring/logging tools (e.g., DataDog).
