Your Impact

As a Senior Knowledge Analyst, you will be based in Gurugram, India, as part of our Digital & Tech Insights (DTi) team, helping clients with sourcing across IT areas such as services (e.g., application services, infrastructure services), software/SaaS products, hardware, cloud, AI, and more.

You will join a global team working on topics related to tech sourcing and partnerships across industries and geographies, with a focus on sub-categories. You will work on projects across industries and functions, fully integrated with our global firm. Collaborating with colleagues from various arms of McKinsey & Company, you will help clients deliver breakthrough products, experiences, and businesses on technology topics.

Your role is critical in delivering cutting-edge expertise in tech procurement. In today's digital transformation landscape, software drives competitive advantage, and a mismanaged procurement strategy can lead to systemic technical debt, fragmented ecosystems, and hidden costs that hinder agility. You will ensure that technology investments act as strategic growth levers rather than liabilities. Your work will directly impact our internal teams and clients, enabling them to deliver sharp strategies and roadmaps that address real-world challenges, ultimately contributing to client success and growth.

Your Qualifications and Skills

  • MBA (or equivalent) or Master's/ bachelor's in technology/engineering from reputed universities is preferred.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in IT services domain, esp. in commercial context (e.g. contracts review) and in RFx development, negotiations and reviewing contractual terms and conditions
  • Previous experience in supporting services contracts negotiation highly desired (either from vendor or buyer side) across various IT services, and hardware
  • Strong understanding of IT services procurement (across applications, infrastructure), AI & cloud procurement including planning, negotiations and contracting models
  • Experience across strategic supplier selection, contracting, renewals, services strategy planning, total cost of ownership (TCO) optimization, application implementation, RFx execution, cloud procurement and enterprise architecture
  • General understanding of broad IT sourcing space and working market knowledge (e.g., key vendors, services and technology trends)
  • Ability to engage and interact with client personnel including procurement specialists
  • Willingness to work in a highly demanding and result-oriented team environment and to travel to other offices/client locations for short/long term assignments
