Position Overview

The Key Account Manager is responsible for generating new business, managing key client accounts, and driving revenue growth across events, MICE, corporate travel, and experiential services. The role demands strong pitching skills, relationship-building abilities, and the capability to convert leads into confirmed business while maintaining high client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

1. New Client Acquisition

  • Identify and target new corporate clients across key industries.
  • Build a strong sales pipeline through networking, cold calls/emails, referrals, and industry events.
  • Conduct client meetings, presentations, and capability pitches.
  • Understand client requirements and propose tailored event/MICE/travel solutions.
  • Achieve monthly new-client acquisition and revenue targets.

2. Lead Management & Conversion

  • Follow up on all incoming leads promptly and professionally.
  • Create and share proposals, costings, and event/travel packages customized to each brief.
  • Negotiate rates, terms, and contracts to close deals effectively.
  • Maintain strong conversion ratios through structured follow-ups.

3. Key Account Management

  • Manage relationships with existing clients to ensure repeat business.
  • Understand recurring needs, yearly calendars, and future opportunities.
  • Maintain high client satisfaction through consistent communication and service excellence.
  • Coordinating with internal team

5. Market Intelligence & Competitor Analysis

  • Stay updated with industry trends, competitor offerings, and client preferences.
  • Identify opportunities for new services, destinations, and market segments.
  • Recommend pricing strategies based on market insights and competition.

6. Reporting & Documentation

  • Maintain updated sales trackers, CRM entries, and lead status reports.
  • Submit weekly/monthly sales reports to management.
  • Track revenue achieved, conversions, pipeline health, and target progress.

Key Skills & Requirements

  • Strong communication, presentation, and client-handling skills.
  • Excellent negotiation and deal-closing abilities.
  • Ability to understand and pitch events/MICE/corporate travel solutions.
  • Outgoing personality with strong relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to multitask and deliver under deadlines.
  • Proficiency in MS PowerPoint, Excel, CRM tools, and proposal drafting.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality, or related field.
  • 57 years of experience in sales (Events, MICE, Travel, or Corporate Sales preferred).
  • Experience managing corporate clients and securing medium to large-scale event/travel projects.
  • Strong corporate network is an added advantage.
