Role Summary
About the Role
We are looking for a highly motivated and results-driven Key Account Manager – Government Sales with deep expertise in government procurement and tender processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of closing large-value deals with government departments, public health missions, and state/central health agencies, particularly in Uttar Pradesh and other key states.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and nurture long-term strategic relationships with key government clients, including Uttar Pradesh Health Department, NHM-UP, Medical Education Department, and other state/central government bodies.
- Identify new business opportunities within the government sector and drive sustainable revenue growth, with a strong focus on Uttar Pradesh and other high-potential states.
- Lead end-to-end sales cycles — from opportunity identification, tender/RFP management, bid preparation, negotiations, to successful contract closure.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with government agencies while ensuring compliance with procurement policies and guidelines (including GeM, e-tendering systems).
- Collaborate closely with internal teams (Product, Marketing, Clinical, Operations, and Finance) to ensure seamless execution and high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Monitor market trends, government health policies, budgets, and competitor activities to proactively identify opportunities and mitigate risks.
- Achieve and consistently exceed quarterly and annual sales targets.
- Provide market feedback and insights to support product development and go-to-market strategies.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 5+ years of proven experience in Government Sales (preferably in Medical Devices, Healthcare Technology, or Diagnostics sector).
- Demonstrated success in managing key government accounts and closing high-value contracts through tenders and direct sales, with strong experience in Uttar Pradesh government ecosystem preferred.
- Strong understanding of government procurement processes, GeM portal, e-tendering systems, and regulatory compliances.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with senior government officials and decision-makers.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a data-driven approach.
- Ability and willingness to travel extensively across India.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Life Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, or related field.
