Role: Key Account Manager
About Modulus Housing
Modulus Housing is a construction tech startup building modular, prefabricated and
pre-cast structures that are faster, smarter, and built to last. Our factory-made modules
come with integrated electrical and plumbing systems, letting us deploy buildings 70%
faster than conventional methods. We work across sectors like healthcare, education,
housing, defense, and industrial infrastructure, serving both governments and enterprises.
Our model runs on a cloud manufacturing network, combining decentralized fabrication
with efficient on-site assembly. Having built more than 2000 prefab buildings across
multiple locations like Bihar, Meghalaya, Assam, Karnataka, Arunachal Pradesh, Gujarat,
etc. we have annual turnover of 200Cr+ cumulative over the last 4 years. Backed by Tier 1
VCs, we're proud to contribute to Atmanirbhar Bharat by making infrastructure rapid,
reliable, and future ready. We have also recently raised our Series A funding of $8.1 mn.
Job Overview
As a Key Account Manager, your focus will be to be the sole point of contact with the
client, ensure customer satisfaction, regular updates on progress of the project, resolve
issues that the customers face, generate reports, ensure that we deliver as per the plan
and the payments are accrued from the client as per the schedule, responsible for repeat
orders and cross sale of our products. The role is crucial to ensure smooth operations and
communication between the customer and Modulus, efficiency in recovery of payments
and build long term relationships.
The ideal KAM builds lasting relationships, ensures execution excellence, and drives
account growth through deep customer understanding and structured delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Client Onboarding and Support
Facilitate project onboarding with full documentation and milestone
mapping. Track project execution and resolve bottlenecks via internal
coordination.
Progress Report
To share regular updates with the larger team along with the details of
milestones, client expectations, timelines, etc.
Customer Success
Set up customer success metrics, track via scoring methodologies like
NPS, etc. and share regular updates with team along with insights
Customer Retention/Repetition
Solely responsible to ensure repeat orders from existing customers or
generate leads for the same to be shared with sales team
Customer Lifetime Value
Ensuring customer stickiness through cross selling of different
products, long term strategy and relationship building, and
strengthening the network
Recoveries/Payment Collections
Solely responsible for ensuring payments are accrued on time from
customers, collaborate with finance department for reconciliation,
clarifications from the client and resolution of any contention
Feedback Loops & Market Insights
Capture feedback post-deployment to influence design upgrades and
process improvements.
Monitor competitor activity, material preferences, and sector expansion
patterns to guide strategy.
Qualification & Skills
Educational Background
Any Bachelor's degree in Business, Hospitality, or Engineering, MBA
would be an advantage
Experience
3-6 Years of experience in account management, customer service and
success, cross sales and recovery
Experience in the field of real estate or construction would be a plus
Execution & Delivery Skills
Project progression tracking, risk identification & escalation
Cross-functional collaboration (engineering, procurement, finance, site
teams)
Time & priority management
Commitment to timelines & quality outcomes
Structured reporting and documentation
Core Functional Skills
Strong commercial acumen and design sensitivity.
Comfort with fast-paced, multi-location execution workflows
Account Management & Client Relationship Handling
Project coordination & stakeholder management
B2B contract negotiation & commercial discussions
Understanding of construction workflows / project lifecycle
Order-to-cash cycle management & billing follow-up
Sales forecasting, revenue tracking & pipeline reporting
CRM proficiency (Zoho, Salesforce, HubSpot etc.)
Ability to create account expansion strategies (upsell / cross-sell)
