Role Summary
We are seeking an entrepreneurial and results-driven Key Account Manager to own and manage our strategic partnerships with universities. In this role, you will act as the single point of contact (SPOC) for our university partners, taking complete ownership of the partnership's success. You will be responsible for the end-to-end success of the partnership, from driving revenue and ensuring P&L delivery to aligning marketing efforts and overseeing post-sales operations.
The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a strong commercial mindset, exceptional relationship management skills, and a proven ability to drive growth in a fast-paced environment. This is an entrepreneurial role where you will function as the business leader for your assigned university accounts.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Partnership &P&L Ownership
As the Key Account Manager, you will own the complete business performance of your assigned university partnerships. You will be fully responsible for the P&L of your accounts, with a sharp focus on driving revenue and profitability. This includes developing and executing a comprehensive strategic account plan, setting and achieving financial targets, and conducting regular business reviews with university stakeholders. You will identify growth opportunities, optimize the partnership structure, and build a long-term, mutually beneficial relationship that establishes Hero Vired as an indispensable partner for the university.
Sales & Revenue Growth
You will be accountable for ensuring that your university partners achieve their enrollment targets and revenue objectives. This involves working closely with the sales team to develop and implement effective sales strategies, monitoring sales performance in real-time, and identifying new opportunities for growth. You will analyze sales data to identify trends, forecast demand, and make data-driven recommendations to optimize performance. Marketing & Brand Alignment
In this role, you will collaborate with the marketing team to ensure that all marketing and branding initiatives are aligned with the university partner's objectives and Hero Vired's strategic goals. This includes developing co-branded marketing campaigns, managing the marketing budget for your accounts, and tracking the ROI of marketing activities. You will act as the brand ambassador for both Hero Vired and the university, ensuring that all communications and promotional materials accurately reflect both organizations values and objectives.
Operational Excellence & Post-Sales Management
You will be responsible for ensuring a seamless and positive experience for students from enrollment to graduation. This involves overseeing the post-sales process, including student onboarding, support, and engagement. You will work closely with the operations team to identify and resolve any issues, streamline processes, and ensure that we are delivering on our promises to both students and university partners. Your focus on operational excellence will be key to student satisfaction, retention, and the overall success of the partnership.
Cross-Functional Leadership & Coordination
Success in this role requires strong cross-functional leadership and coordination. You will be the central point of coordination between the university partner and all internal teams at Hero Vired, including sales, marketing, operations, product, and finance. You will need to build strong relationships with all stakeholders, effectively communicate priorities, and influence teams to ensure that everyone is working together to achieve the goals of the partnership. You will escalate issues appropriately and drive resolution to maintain partnership health.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting
You will establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for each partnership, including enrollment numbers, revenue targets,student satisfaction scores, and operational metrics. You will prepare regular performance reports and dashboards for both internal leadership and university partners, providing actionable insights and recommendations for improvement. Your data-driven approach will ensure transparency and enable proactive management of the partnership.
Qualifications and Skills
Experience & Education
Candidates should have 4-8 years of experience in key account management, strategic sales, business development, or partnership management, preferably in the EdTech, online education, or B2B services industry. A proven track record of managing large, complex accounts and owning a P&L is essential. A Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or a related field is required. An MBA is a strong plus.
