Key Account Manager-Freight Forwarding MNC-Andheri

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in managing key clients within the logistics and freight forwarding industry, with a focus on ocean/air freight services. The role involves building and maintaining long-term client relationships, driving business growth, handling customer escalations, and ensuring high levels of service satisfaction.

Job Summary

Manage and grow existing Key Accounts at Pan India level and achieving business targets while ensuring customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Drive the growth of client relationship into long-term strategic partnership with dedicated focus on cross-selling of integrated freight and logistics solutions.

Strong understanding of market structure and requirements Knowledge of the industry and all facets of Sea and Air Freight Forwarding services along with supplement products.

Collecting data from potential /existing customers and other sources on competitor moves, business lost to competitors and reasons.

In-house sales target to be met and reports should be shared periodically with the management.

Utilizing strong negotiation efforts to preserve business and securing contract agreements with customers.

Administer concurrent sales initiative from proposal stage to business closure through customer acceptance and implementation.

Building strong relationships with Clients to enhance the revenue potential.

Ensure vendor registration with Clients to build long term relationship & development strategies.

Ensure timely problem solving, freight negotiations/ approvals, communications, budget approvals etc. for faster finalization of sales deals and customer retention.

Feedback should be taken on a regular basis from clients about the services provided. Identify discrepancies or issues, suggestions for improving the process should be shared and implemented.

Any problems, matters/issues related to any customers or job should be escalated to the management in a week's time if it's not resolved.

. Motivate and mentor coworkers / CS Team / Clearance Team / Transport Team to handle Clients, Vendors & Overseas Agents.

Daily interactions with relevant internal departments to ensure various matters with regards to freight negotiation, timely release of Delivery order to customers, planning of containers, arranging freight invoices to customers, releasing of bill of lading in time, delivery status of the cargo to customers.

Using expertise available with different officials in the organization to provide prompt solutions to customer needs.

. Ensuring timeliness and accuracy of various reports such as Monthly Volume & Shipment Reports.

Submitting accurate information as per the management requirement and help the top team with own views, information and insights for accurate business decision making.

Providing customer feedback on products and service levels to top management and help in taking decisions related to improvement.

Technical/ Functional Knowledge and skills

Sound understanding about the dynamics of import, export and shipping industries along with Custom Brokerage & Warehousing activities.Awareness of the micro and macro business environment and its impact on Businesses
