About the Role

The Key Account Manager will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and expanding long-term strategic relationships with high-value wholesale channel partners (e.g., Distributors, Large Dealers, Aggregators, and FMCG Exporters) across Hyderabad. This role is central to driving B2B revenue and market penetration within the FMCG, Food & Beverage, and Retail sectors, with a specialized focus on the HoReCa and O&I segments.

Responsibilities

  • Channel Sales & Revenue Growth
  • Target Achievement: Exceed assigned sales targets for primary and secondary revenue across the Hyderabad region.
  • Segment Expansion: Specifically drive growth within the HoReCa (Hotels, Restaurants, and Catering) and O&I (Offices & Institutions) channels.
  • Strategic Planning: Execute quarterly business plans for key accounts, focusing on product placement and institutional contract wins.
  • New Channel Acquisition: Onboard new high-potential wholesale partners, retail aggregators, and institutional suppliers to expand market reach.
  • Relationship & Account Management
  • Partnership Management: Serve as the primary advisor for senior-level stakeholders and procurement heads in the HoReCa and O&I sectors.
  • Conflict Resolution: Proactively resolve commercial and operational challenges to maintain high service levels.
  • Performance Review: Conduct regular reviews to analyze market trends and develop corrective growth plans.
  • Market & Commercial Operations
  • Commercial Negotiation: Manage pricing, bidding, and contracts to ensure profitability and competitive advantage in institutional bidding.
  • Forecasting & Reporting: Provide accurate sales forecasts and market intelligence via CRM tools.
  • Supply Chain Coordination: Ensure timely order fulfillment and inventory management tailored to the just-in-time needs of institutional clients.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Marketing. MBA preferred.
  • Minimum 5-8 years of B2B sales experience, with 3+ years in Key Account Management.
  • Must have experience in FMCG, Food & Beverage, or Retail.
  • Proven track record and deep network within HoReCa and O&I (Offices & Institutions) is mandatory.
  • Previous experience working with or for companies such as Dabur, HUL, Reliance Retail, Walmart Retail, Nestle, Flipkart, or Amazon preferred.
  • Mandatory track record in managing Wholesale/Distributor networks within Hyderabad and the Telangana market.

Required Skills

  • Institutional Sales Acumen: Expert understanding of the procurement cycles for hotels, hospitals, and corporate offices.
  • Negotiation: Exceptional skills in closing complex commercial contracts and institutional tenders.
  • Analytical: Proficient in MS Excel for pipeline management and data-driven forecasting.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills in English, Hindi, and Telugu.
  • Travel: Ability to travel extensively across Hyderabad and nearby districts.
