The Key Account Leader, India, Diagnostics Platform will be responsible for leading a team of key account managers, developing and executing account strategies, and ensuring the long-term success and satisfaction of our top-tier customers. The leader will play a crucial role in shaping our approach to strategic key account engagement, contributing directly to our organizational objectives.

This position reports to the Vice President, Diagnostics Platform, India and is a part of the Diagnostics group at the Danaher Corporation located in either Mumbai or Bengaluru and will be an on-site role.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Strategic Account Leadership:Develop and implement comprehensive account plans and strategies for key accounts, aligning with company goals and customer objectives to improve wallet share and profitability. Own and Build strong, executive-level relationships with key stakeholders within assigned accounts, acting as a trusted advisor and strategic partner.
  • Business Development: Drive growth and expand our strategic footprint within key accounts by identifying and pursuing new business, cross-selling, and upselling the full breadth of our product range across Dx platform. This includes leveraging the expertise of Application Specialists, Customer Support (CAS), the Service Department, and Senior Management to unlock each account's maximum potential.
  • Contract Negotiation:Lead and support complex contract negotiations, ensuring favorable terms while maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Market Insight:Stay abreast of industry trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to inform strategic planning and product development.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:Work closely with sales, marketing, product development, and customer service teams to ensure seamless customer experience and the delivery of integrated solutions.
  • Compliance & Risk Management: Collaborate and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements, proactively minimizing and managing business risks in all Key Accounts across Dx platforms.
  • Team Leadership & Development:Lead, mentor, and coach a team of Key Account Managers, fostering a high-performance culture focused on customer success, professional development, and collaborative problem-solving. Build value based commercial excellence by providing capabilities in Clinical and Diagnostic acumen.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Master's degree in business administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 15+ years of progressive experience in key account management, strategic sales, or business development, preferably within the Diagnostics or Medical Equipment sector.
  • 5+ years of experience in a leadership or management role, leading and developing account management teams.
  • Worked extensively in Hospital segment and can build talk track with Hospital clinicians and Laboratory heads.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic account plans that resulted in significant revenue growth and customer retention.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills with the ability to influence at all levels. Proven track record of building and maintaining strong executive-level relationships.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
