Key Roles & Responsibilities:
- Provide operational support for Juniper Mist-based wireless infrastructure across enterprise sites.
- Handle incident tickets, service requests, and problem resolutions related to wireless networks.
- Perform wireless system patching, firmware upgrades, and general health monitoring.
- Analyze wireless performance issues including coverage, signal quality, and roaming.
- Support planning and implementation of access point (AP) deployments and small wireless projects.
- Assist with configuration changes, SSID setup, and integration with network authentication systems.
- Document wireless network architecture, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions.
- Collaborate with LAN and security teams to ensure end-to-end wireless connectivity.
- Coordinate with OEM/vendor support teams for resolving hardware or software issues.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 36 years of experience supporting enterprise wireless solutions, preferably with Juniper Mist.
- Solid understanding of WLAN technologies, including 802.11 standards, RF fundamentals, and Wi-Fi design principles.
- Hands-on experience with Mist Dashboard, access point provisioning, and configuration.
- Knowledge of wireless security (WPA2/WPA3, RADIUS/802.1X), and wireless QoS.
- Familiarity with wireless troubleshooting tools (Wi-Fi analyzers, RF scanners, etc.).
- Experience with performing wireless surveys or analyzing heatmaps (predictive or physical).
- Understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VLANs).
- Ability to work independently and manage operational tasks effectively.
Nice to Have:
- Certifications such as CWNA, JNCIA-MistAI, or JNCIS-MistAI.
- Experience integrating Mist WLAN with Cisco or Aruba wired infrastructure.
- Exposure to scripting or automation tools for WLAN operations.
