We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented
Junior Video Editor to join our content/marketing team. The ideal candidate should have a strong sense of storytelling, good editing aesthetics, and the ability to create engaging video content for social media, marketing campaigns, internal communications, and brand storytelling.
This role is best suited for someone who is hands-on, eager to learn, comfortable with fast-paced execution, and excited about creating high-quality video content.
Key Responsibilities
- Edit short-form and long-form videos for platforms like Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, and other digital channels.
- Work on reels, ads, testimonials, event videos, podcasts, interviews, explainers, and promotional content.
- Add music, transitions, captions, graphics, subtitles, and basic motion elements to videos.
- Ensure videos are aligned with brand guidelines, tone, and visual quality standards.
- Organize and manage raw footage, project files, and final video assets.
- Collaborate with content, design, marketing, and business teams to understand video requirements.
- Make quick edits, revisions, and platform-specific adaptations based on feedback.
- Stay updated with social media trends, video formats, editing styles, and content best practices.
Skills Required
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of video editing tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, CapCut, or similar tools.
- Basic understanding of motion graphics tools like Adobe After Effects is a plus.
- Good sense of pacing, music, storytelling, and visual composition.
- Ability to add clean subtitles, captions, text overlays, and transitions.
- Understanding of social media formats and aspect ratios: 9:16, 1:1, 16:9.
- Attention to detail and ability to meet timelines.
- Willingness to learn, take feedback, and improve quickly.
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree/diploma in media, film, communication, design, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
- Internship or freelance experience in video editing will be an advantage.
- A portfolio/showreel of previous video editing work is required.
