Role Description
Embrell is hiring a Junior Video Editor to support our growing video content across YouTube and short-form platforms. This role is built for someone at the start of their editing career who wants to learn by doing and working on real content that gets published, reviewed, and improved.
You'll work closely with a Senior Video Editor, learning how long-form videos are structured, how short-form content is derived from them, and how small editing decisions impact audience retention.
Day-to-day responsibilities
- Assist in editing long-form YouTube videos (1020 minutes)
- Cut short-form Reels from long-form footage
- Add captions, background music, and clean transitions
- Apply basic motion using After Effects (text, lower thirds, simple animations)
- Organise project files and follow editing workflows
- Implement feedback across multiple revision rounds
- Maintain consistency in style and pacing
Who this role is for
- Someone with 02 years of editing experience
- Comfortable using Adobe Premiere Pro
- Has basic After Effects knowledge (you don't need advanced motion skills)
- Interested in YouTube editing, not just social media clips
- Reliable, organised, and open to learning
- Able to manage deadlines independently while working remotely
