: Junior Site Engineer – Construction, Isha Yoga Centre – Coimbatore

Role Overview

The Junior Site Engineer will be responsible for executing the work on ground as per drawings, specifications, and instructions from the Project Manager.

The role is to supervise site activities, take measurements, prepare bill of quantities, check and certify contract bills, maintain records, drawings, Methods of Measurements, Checklists, Other product related documents, Maintain material stock at project, Ensure quality compliance, and report Daily progress.

Key Responsibilities

1. Execution & Supervision (Engineer's core role)

Execute and supervise daily construction activities on-site

Ensure work is done as per drawings, technical specs, and checklists

Perform setting-out, levelling, marking, and line-out work

Monitor worker, contractor, and Sevadar productivity

2. Measurement, Records & Reporting

Maintain Daily Progress Reports (DPR)

Take site measurements for billing and verification

Maintain checklists, pour cards, inspection records, and day-to-day logs

Escalate issues immediately to the Project Manager

3. Coordination with On-ground Teams

Coordinate with supervisors, contractors, and volunteers

Communicate work instructions and next-day plans received from Project Manager

Raise material indents and ensure proper usage and handling

4. Quality & Safety Implementation (Execution level)

Conduct checks during RCC, shuttering, concreting, masonry, plaster, finishing and other trades

Report defects and ensure corrective actions on ground

Enforce PPE, safety barricading, and permit requirements

5. Material & Resource Management (Operational level)

Verify material deliveries and consumption

Prevent wastage through good supervision

Ensure proper storage and issue from site stores

Required Skills & Competencies (Execution Level)

Strong execution knowledge (RCC, finishing, and interior works, electrical and plumbing works, waterproofing, masonry)

Reading drawings, BOQs, BOMs and checklists

Practical problem solving on site

Daily reporting & measurement skills

Discipline, punctuality, and hands-on approach
