Mailin is a private email infrastructure platform built for high-volume outbound teams, agencies, and SaaS companies. We provision and manage dedicated servers, IPs, domains, and mail systems at scale, with a heavy focus on deliverability, reliability, and automation.
ROLE OVERVIEW
MAILIN is hiring a Junior Backend Developer to join our growing engineering team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a fresher or early-career developer to get hands-on experience building real SaaS infrastructure. You will work directly alongside senior engineers, contribute to backend services, and grow quickly in a startup environment that values learning and ownership.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in building and maintaining backend services that power the MAILIN platform
- Develop and document REST APIs for product features
- Support the backend architecture for our SaaS application
- Debug and troubleshoot backend issues in a timely manner
- Collaborate with frontend developers and product teams to ship features
- Write clean, maintainable code and participate in code reviews
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Working knowledge of PHP
- Understanding of REST API design principles
- Basic knowledge of relational or NoSQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.)
- Grasp of core backend concepts: server-side logic, authentication, request/response lifecycle
- Eagerness to learn, take feedback, and grow in a startup environment
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Internship experience or personal/academic project portfolio
- Familiarity with Git and version control workflows
- Interest in SaaS products, email infrastructure, or outbound sales tech
- Exposure to any cloud platform (AWS, GCP, Azure) is a bonus
- Basic knowledge of Python
