Qualification: ITI - Mechanical (Fitter)/ Diploma in Mechanical engineering & B.E in Mechanical
Job Description
- Expertise in gearbox dismantling, inspection & fitment
- Skilled in bearing replacement (small to large rotary equipment)
- Strong knowledge of shaft alignment (laser & dial methods)
- Ability to perform coupling alignment & correction
- Experience in belt, chain drive maintenance
- Kiln (support rollers, girth gear, thrust roller)
- Raw Mill (rollers, table liner, hydraulic system)
- Crusher (hammer, liner, rotor maintenance)
- Worked on fans, conveyors, bucket elevators, feeders
Breakdown Handling Capability
- Independently identify root cause of breakdown
- Quick repair & restoration of equipment
- Capable of gearbox failure handling
- Bearing seizure, overheating & vibration issue resolution
- Ability to work under pressure during shutdown/breakdown
Tools & Practical Knowledge
- Use of alignment tools, dial gauges, feeler gauges
- Knowledge of hydraulic tools & jacks
- Welding, gas cutting for minor fabrication/repair
- Handling of maintenance tools independently
Safety & Work Discipline
- Follows LOTO & safety procedures
- Experience in hot work, confined space jobs
- Safe handling of heavy equipment during maintenance
