About Us
We're building deeply intelligent UAVs for defense forces - designed to out-think, outmaneuver, and dominate even in contested environments. Our mission is to give the armed forces an undeniable edge and help safeguard peace across borders. We move fast, challenge limits, and obsess over building technology that redefines what's possible. If you are driven to build something truly transformational then this is it.
About The Role
As a
Junior Mechanical Design Engineer, you'll be part of the team that turns bold ideas into production-ready platforms. While avionics and propulsion drive what happens inside, your work will shape the subsystems and mechanisms that the user sees, trusts, and depends on in the field. You'll focus on designing and prototyping structural and mechanical subsystems, helping build hardware that is lightweight, rugged, and ready for the field. This is a hands-on role where you'll learn fast, contribute from day one, and grow into a core part of Unmannd's engineering DNA.

Benefits
What We Offer- Support the design and development of mechanical subsystems and mechanisms.
- Create 3D CAD models, assemblies, and engineering drawings with precision.
- Contribute to structural analysis and lightweight design optimizations.
- Participate in rapid prototyping, testing, and iterative improvements of subsystems.
- Collaborate with avionics, propulsion, and systems teams to ensure seamless integration.
- Maintain organized documentation (CAD data, BOMs, design logs, test reports).
- Actively contribute ideas in design reviews and learn from senior engineers.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or related engineering field.
- 02 years of experience in mechanical design (internships, college projects, competitions, or research work count).
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Fusion360, CATIA, or similar).
- Solid understanding of structural mechanics, materials, and lightweight design.
- Exposure to prototyping (machining, 3D printing, composites, or similar).
- Hands-on mindset, curiosity to learn, and eagerness to take ownership.
- Direct impact: see your designs move from CAD to prototype to flight test in weeks, not years.
- Hands-on experience: work with real hardware, flight ranges, and cutting-edge UAV systems.
- Learning & mentorship: close guidance from senior engineers with space to grow into leadership roles.
- Startup culture: fast-paced, collaborative, and built around ownership and innovation.
- Upside: competitive compensation with equity options.
