This Opportunity

The Junior ManagementAccountant will play a supportive role in the finance team, focusing on assisting with the preparation, analysis, and reporting of financial data. This role will provide exposure to various accounting tasks and help meet the corporate reporting requirements. Here is what you would be doing as our Junior ManagementAccountant:

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform weekly bank and other account reconciliations and record associated financial transactions in the company books and records
  • Review expenditures are in accordance with policies such as petty cash and employee expense claims
  • Post expense invoices and credit notes and ensure they're coded correctly in the system
  • Prepare monthly supplier statement reconciliations where applicable
  • Communicate with relevant suppliers to process invoicing or payment queries
  • Ensure all accounts payable activities comply with relevant financial policies and procedures
  • Assist with the basic payroll preparation, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
  • Deal with external and internal queries by phone and email
  • Support the preparation of the monthly/quarterly/annual tax regulatory returns (VAT, WHT, PAYE, etc.)
  • Liaise with tax compliance third parties including the local tax authorities on related matters.
  • Prepare and submit periodic financial reports to management
  • Assist with the preparation of accurate and timely management accounts on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis to help management understand the company's financial status.
  • Help with the preparation of statutory books and coordinate with local auditors to ensure accurate and timely records, including responding to audit queries.
  • Support in the preparation of GAAP-compliant financial statements for each entity of the company to ensure all financial reporting is standardized and accurate.
  • Assist with other accounting tasks and projects as requested including management accounts and client based queries.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Accounting/ Finance
  • Chartered Accountant is preferred
  • CMA designation advantageous
  • 2-3 years experience as a management accountant or financial accountant
