Junior Furniture Designer

We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Junior Furniture Designer to support the design and development of innovative, functional, and market-ready furniture products. The role requires strong conceptual thinking, attention to detail, adherence to timelines, and close collaboration with senior designers and manufacturing teams to ensure high-quality execution.

Assist in developing furniture designs aligned with the initial conceptual brief

Contribute to creating distinctive designs with detailing that enhances product uniqueness and replication complexity.

Support the development of new furniture pieces that are successfully launched and positively received in the market.

Promote reuse of materials, components, joinery details, and finishes across product lines

Design with an understanding of production efficiency and optimised product lifecycle.

Support material selection considering aesthetics, durability, cost, and manufacturability

Complete assigned design tasks within agreed schedules.

Follow structured workflows to meet deadlines.

Proactively communicate delays or challenges to senior designers.

Document the process as per system in place

Prepare high-quality technical drawings, 3D models, sketches, and presentation renders.

Support prototype development to ensure alignment with original design intent.

Work closely with production and vendor teams to ensure designs are feasible and efficiently manufacturable.

Contribute to furniture designs that meet usability, comfort, functionality, and ergonomic standards.

Maintain organized documentation including design files, dockets, BOQs, renders, material specs, and iteration records.

Assist in preparing presentations for internal reviews and client discussions.

Ensure proper version control and drawing updates.

Support implementation of new tools, templates, and processes to improve design efficiency.

Stay updated with furniture trends, materials, finishes, and hardware innovations.

Continuously develop technical and creative skills under senior guidance.

Bachelor's degree/Diploma in Furniture Design, Product Design, Industrial Design, or related field.

03 years of experience in furniture or product design.

Proficiency in CAD software (Rhinoceros 3D, SolidWorks, Keyshot, Blender, or similar) and documentation software, MS Office.

Knowledge of furniture materials, joinery techniques, and basic manufacturing processes.

Basic understanding of ergonomics and usability principles.
