Role Description

Obtains, calculates and compiles data for use in conceptual/bid proposal estimates, preparing routine estimates under general supervision.

Reports To: Lead Estimator

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for ensuring that all quantity surveys and pricing are accurate and complete
  • Provide support for the development of bidding strategies by debriefing the salesperson of job elements
  • Leads the documentation management of the project, ensures all documents are complete and clearly conveys decisions made to sales and operations teams.
  • Attend pre-bid meetings to discuss project specifics and scope
  • Participate in bid closings and estimate reviews
  • Balance workload and assignments to meet deadlines
  • Develop a value analysis study by defining alternatives to the proposed scope that are more cost-efficient
  • Manage action items from Post Bid and finalize scope.
  • Compute cost estimates for materials, purchased equipment, subcontracted work, production activities and requirements, and labor.

Preferred Qualifications

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Other degrees are also acceptable, if the person is keen and talented
  • 0 – 2 years of experience in a related field
  • 3D Revit modelling experience

  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

    · Bids are accurate and profitable

    · Must be available on some days to work and take customer calls during night hours to accommodate U.S.-based clients (up to 10 PM local time).

    · Good proficiency in English, including reading, writing, and verbal communication, to effectively engage with customers and team members.

    · Basic knowledge of lab products, services, processes and projects

    · Understands project plans and specifications

    · Independently performs most assignments with instruction

    · Seeks guidance for unusual or complex problems and supervisor approval for changes in standards

    · Open to feedback and flexible to change

    · Proficient in MS Office Suite

    · Strong prioritization and organizational skills, detail-oriented

    · Revit knowledge and experience

    · Prior experience in Estimation or BOQ preparation is an added advantage

    Salary Range:

    2,40,000 to 3,20,000 per year
