About the RoleWe are looking for a Junior Draughtsman to support our furniture design and production team by preparing detailed technical drawings and documentation for custom furniture and interior pieces. The role requires someone who is detail-oriented, technically skilled, and interested in translating design concepts into precise manufacturing drawings.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare 2D technical drawings and shop drawings for furniture and interior products.
- Convert design concepts into accurate production drawings.
- Create detailed dimensioned drawings for carpentry, metal, upholstery, and joinery.
- Assist senior designers and engineers in drafting layouts, sections, and assembly drawings.
- Update drawings based on client feedback, design revisions, and production requirements.
- Maintain proper documentation and drawing version control.
- Coordinate with the production and factory teams to ensure drawings are clear and executable.
- Support in preparing BOQs, material specifications, and cut lists where required.
Required Skills & Qualifications- Diploma or Degree in Furniture Design, Interior Design, Architecture, Drafting, or related field.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (essential).
- Proficient knowledge of furniture construction and joinery details.
- Understanding of materials such as wood, veneer, laminates, metal, and upholstery.
- Strong attention to detail and technical accuracy.
- Ability to work collaboratively with design and production teams.
Preferred Skills (Bonus)- Knowledge of SketchUp / SolidWorks / Rhino / Fusion 360.
- Experience working with custom furniture or interior fabrication drawings.
- Basic understanding of manufacturing processes in furniture production.
